Privacy policy
We collect as little information as possible, and only to answer your request and prepare your event. Here is what we do with it.
Who is responsible
CHEFS & PRESTIGE, whose full details appear in our legal notice. For any question about your data: contact@chefsetprestige.com.
What we collect
Through the forms on this website: your name, email address and telephone number, and what you tell us about your event (date, venue, number of guests, budget, wishes). For chefs who write to us: their professional background.
We do not ask for any health information. If you choose to tell us about an allergy, it is used only to prepare the meal.
Why
Solely to answer your request, send you a proposal and organise your event. This is the legal basis for the processing: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, then the performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
Your contact details are never used for marketing. They are never sold or passed on.
Who has access
Only the Chefs & Prestige team has access to your contact details. They remain confidential.
To prepare your event, we share with the chef and the suppliers involved what they need to know: the date, the venue, the number of guests, your wishes. Never your surname, email address or telephone number, unless you agree to it.
Where it is kept
A form sent through the website is recorded by our host, Netlify (Netlify Forms), which forwards it to us by email; we then keep it on our computers.
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., a US company: your data may therefore be processed in the United States. Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and applies the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Our email is hosted by Microsoft (Microsoft 365).
How long
Three years after our last exchange if your request did not go ahead. Five years after the event if you are a client. Ten years for invoices, as the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Its fonts are hosted on the website itself: your browser contacts no third-party service.
On the Contact page, the map of Cagnes-sur-Mer is provided by OpenStreetMap: it only loads if you click “Show the map”, at which point your browser contacts OpenStreetMap’s servers. The “Open in Google Maps” link takes you to Google’s website.
Like any host, Netlify keeps technical logs (IP address, pages visited) for server security, for a limited period.
Your rights
You may at any time access your data, have it corrected or erased, object to its use, or ask for it to be restricted or transferred. Simply write to us at contact@chefsetprestige.com; we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr.
